Yu-Li partners with teams to design accessible digital experiences that empower every user.

Problems actually solved

AI helped write the code, but I personally audited every line against accessibility standards. It was built with love, stolen pockets of time, and more revisions than I would like to admit (that stays between me and my code).

Since most of my recent work is under NDA, I don't post public case studies—but I am happy to walk you through them privately. Reach out to chat about the work I have done, or just to say 'hi'. 👋.

  • The Commonwealth of Massachusetts | Mass Digital Services (MDS)

MyMassGov -- UX Accessibility at Scale for State Government

One login. 25,000+ Massachusetts residents. Every state service they depend on. When Mass Digital Services built a single sign-on platform to connect residents to government services regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. I worked alongside a cross-functional team to make sure accessibility barriers were identified and resolved before launch, not after.

    Responsive Shopping Cart Redesign

Users weren't completing their purchases. The drop-off wasn't a payment problem or a price problem — it was a user experience problem. We dug into the "why", conducting research that uncovered where trust broke down and shaped the redesign that fixed it.

  • The Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML)

Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) Portal

People filing for paid leave aren't are often navigating a crisis. I designed WCAG 2.1 AA-compliant features for Massachusetts' Paid Family & Medical Leave program, turning dense requirements into a seamless experiences. Since launch, the program has paid out $1 billion in benefits.

Knowledge is better shared

Knowledge, like boba, is better when shared — so pull up a straw! Here's a collection of talks and writing I've done on accessibility and inclusive design. No gatekeeping here, just good ideas steeping. If anything sparks a conversation, I'd love to hear from you.
